Travel and fill up your collection

Once you manage to purchase the simplest boat, you will be able to sail to the other islands. There you will meet new species that will require different approaches from you.

You won’t be able to catch large fish at first, though. For big creatures you have to purchase certain equipment and greatly upgrade both your toll and your boat. This may be not so significant in the classic mode, but in realism mode you have to prepare for a true competition.

However, your work will pay off, as large fish usually bring large amounts of money. For example, you may want to hunt the Noctis, an exotic giant that is quite smart for a fish. It appears only at night and doesn’t mind feasting the fish right from your hook. Although, it may get caught on the hook itself, if you make some effort.

This fish requires not only a large hook, but a large bait, due to its impressive size. Purchasing sonar is a good idea as well, because this creature is surprisingly fast and this way it will be easier to track it. All these efforts will be totally worth it when you see how much money you get for one, anyway.

Customise your machines

In Cat Goes Fishing, you need cash for each upgrade, so prepare to constantly prey on different sea life. Completing the tasks, gather the needed number of coins to buy something useful. Although, you can always just decorate your boat or character with cute little adornments.

But even the accessories give you certain bonuses in the game. There is a range of hats that give you pleasant perks. They will allow you to get a discount in the shop, make your boat faster, cut down the price of upgrades and many more things.
